Don't Go Backwards!

Oh to be young again. Have you ever said that to yourself? Maybe not but I am sure you have heard it before. It usually means life has blaZed by and you understand the world so much more these days so you wish you had another chance to do it all over again. It means you hit rewind and begin to playback the what if’s and the should-a could-a would-a’s in your mind that have past by. In the words of T.I. it plays back kinda “like a slideshow”. Maybe those things are true. Maybe life has past by and you wish some things could have been done differently. However you have to remember that the past doesn’t determine the right now! Let me say it another way. Did you miss out on college? Enroll. Did you mess up your finances? Fix it. Did you rip apart some personal relationships that you had? Learn from it. Everybody struggles. Everybody has hard times. Everybody has done something they wish they could take back but going back is not an option. Why? Because going forward brings opportunities. Think of it this way. When your timecard has been punched and you have to check out of this life which would you prefer? A short life that was fulfilling or a long life that was empty! You tell me!
